Operation Christmas Child is a global ministry of Samaritan’s Purse that demonstrates God’s love to children around the world through gift-filled shoeboxes. Since 1993, millions of shoeboxes have been delivered to children in more than 170 countries and territories, bringing joy and creating opportunities to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Each shoebox is filled with thoughtfully chosen gifts such as toys, school supplies, and personal care items. For some children, these gifts may be the first they have ever received. But the impact goes far beyond the items inside. Each box is a tangible reminder that they are seen, valued, and loved.

Through partnerships with local churches around the world, Operation Christmas Child uses these gifts to open doors for sharing the Gospel. Children have the opportunity to hear about Jesus and, in many communities, participate in The Greatest Journey, a 12-lesson discipleship program that helps them learn what it means to follow Christ and share His love with others.

What may begin as a simple shoebox can become an opportunity for a child to experience the love of God, hear the message of salvation, and grow in their faith. It is a beautiful reminder that even a small act of generosity can play a part in something much bigger.
